Lower Stechford

B33 - Grid reference SP128877

Probably a medieval hamlet, Lower Stechford is centred on the triangle between Station Road, Flaxley Road and Iron Lane with an inn and a smithy east of Stechford Bridge over the River Cole.

In the early 20th century the simple early Victorian building was replaced by a large Tudor-style building. Later known as the Manor House, it was demolished in the early years of the 21st century and  houses were built there in 2019. All buildings within the triangle of Lower Stechford have now been demolished to make way for road improvements.
