White Hill

B31 - Grid reference SP029805

White Hill rises on the Bristol Road South from the valley of the Wood Brook to Northfield. The origin of its name is unknown. It may be that this is poorer soil perhaps on glacial drift. Such heathland would produce paler grasses than those in the damp fertile valley below.
